From Accelerate to Flywheel: A Clear Path Toward Disciple Multiplication
Heading into 2025 marked a significant and necessary shift. We reclaimed our priority mission: equipping churches and pastors to break the addition addiction and cultivate cultures of disciple multiplication.
In a previous season, our focus leaned toward individual followers of Jesus—helping people grow in character, habits, and calling. That work mattered and continues to bear fruit. But 2025 clarified something essential: sustainable multiplication is formed and sustained through local churches. So we re-centered our efforts—not away from disciples, but toward the environments that form and send them.
At Disciples Made, our word for 2025 was Accelerate. And that’s exactly what happened—not through pressure or performance, but through clarity and alignment. We removed friction, simplified systems, and focused on what already had life. As a result, momentum increased.
One tangible expression of this shift was streamlining our app. We intentionally made it simpler and easier to navigate—especially for leaders launching new Intentional Disciple-Making Environments like Followers Made. Clear next steps replaced clutter. Leaders could focus on forming people, not figuring out tools.
We also celebrated first fruits. In 2025, 17 churches—from California to South Carolina and Ohio to Texas—took their first steps toward multiplying disciple-makers and mobilizing spiritual influencers among everyday followers of Jesus. These weren’t flashy wins. They were faithful beginnings—and they mattered.
Acceleration did its work. It prepared us for something sustainable.
That’s why our word for 2026 is Flywheel.
Acceleration starts movement. A flywheel sustains it. A flywheel turns through steady, faithful pressure in the same direction over time. No hype. No shortcuts. Just obedience that compounds.
Our 2026 focus is clear: ready, humble, and hungry church leaders who desire to break the addition addiction and pursue culture change. We are doubling down on a proven, team-based pathway:
Mission Mapping Calls to clarify vision and next faithful steps
Integration Coaching to embed disciple-making into existing rhythms
A three-phase Multiplication Cohort that forms church teams to reproduce disciples across generations
We are prioritizing success through coaching and accessibility—lowering barriers so churches can step in with confidence. Alongside this work, we are also writing a book, Breaking the Addition Addiction: To Thrive in Disciple Multiplication, to serve leaders far beyond a single cohort or calendar year.
The flywheel is turning. Every conversation, every coached team, every church taking its next faithful step is compounding momentum.
