    Brian Phipps founded Disciples Made after a defining moment in 2010 when Jesus impressed on him that “multiplication is no longer optional.” At the time, Brian was leading a thriving small group ministry of 2,500 participants, yet he saw the gap—volunteers weren’t becoming disciple-makers. Determined to follow Jesus’ model and Paul’s mandate in 2 Timothy 2:2, he began experimenting with intentional, reproducible disciple-making environments. What started as five leaders in a one-year mentoring process quickly multiplied to multiple generations across churches in Kansas City and beyond. In 2018, Brian transitioned from local church leadership to launch Disciples Made as a 501(c)3, equipping churches nationwide with proven strategies to grow both character and calling. Today, his vision is clear: equip 70,000 disciple-makers to help 2 million people live Fully Alive by 2040.

    Jason Phelps serves on the Leadership Team and a coach for Disciples Made, partnering with churches, networks, and marketplace leaders to multiply disciples who are Fully Alive in Christ. He is also the Discipling Director at Gloria Dei in Houston, TX, where since 2021 he has implemented Disciples Made’s process to mobilize everyday believers—men and women—into confident disciple-makers using their top spiritual gifts where they live, work, learn, and play. His leadership has seen fourth-generation disciples emerge, proving multiplication is possible in any context. With a ministry background in church planting, worship leading, and mentoring at-risk youth, Jason brings a versatile and relational approach to disciple-making. He is passionate about helping leaders move from carrying ministry alone to equipping co-laborers who own the mission. Married to Ashley, a gifted artist and worship leader, he’s dad to three, a musician, and an outdoors enthusiast.
